President Mike Edwards shared the following correspondence from SRT North Central Texas District Representative Devin Lindsey regarding the Annual Meeting in Beaumont.

President General (PG) Ed Heath will serve for another year, as he was re-elected.

Ken Pfeiffer moves from 2nd Vice President General to 1st Vice President General. The reason for this change is that our former 1st Vice President General, Buddy Power, has several personal conflicts that have caused him to withdraw from his position, but remain in the SRT.

Representative Lindsey noted that he was elected to serve as 2nd President General, with the understanding that he would agree to serve for one year, and at next year’s Annual Meeting elections will be held for the following year. The main duty of the 2nd Vice President General is to coordinate with the District Representatives.

Representative Lindsey stated that he will still remain as the North Central District Representative and also remain President of the David Crockett Chapter #47 in Granbury.

Awards for recruiting and for best scrapbook were given at the luncheon.

Stephen L. Hardin, PH.D., author of “Lust for Glory” – An Epic Story of Early Texas and Sacrifice That Defined a Nation,” received the Summerfield G. Roberts Award.
